First Aid Kits
According to Manitoba's Workplace Safety and Health Act an employer must provide and keep readily accessible the type, size, and number of first aid kits meeting the requirements set out in "CSA Z1220-17, First aid kits for the workplace".
The type and size of first aid kit required for a workplace in Manitoba is determined by the number of workers per shift, the workplace hazard rating as well as the likelihood of harm.
CSA Workplace First Aid Kit Classifications below:
Type 1: Personal Workplace first aid kit:
- 1 worker or a worker in isolation requires a CSA Type 1 Personal First Aid Kit $24.99
Type 2 for Low Risk Workplace Environments:
- 2-25 workers per shift requires a CSA Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Small $39.99
- 26-50 workers per shift requires a CSA Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Medium $69.99
- 51-100 workers per shift requires a CSA Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Large $104.99
Type 3 for High Risk Workplace Environments:
- 2-25 workers per shift requires a CSA Type 3 Intermediate First Aid Kit – Small $114.99
- 26-50 workers per shift requires a CSA Type 3 Intermediate First Aid Kit – Medium $134.99
- 51-100 workers per shift requires a CSA Type 3 Intermediate First Aid Kit – Large $224.99
Family Basic First Aid Kit:
- The Basic First Aid Kit is stocked with the necessary tools to equip you to manage a wide array home/auto situations – Basic $39.99
